We went to see the reopening of Highway 40, more just to say we went than anything else. It was pretty cool, how often do you get to walk on the highway without putting your butt on the line (literally)?

Caps - Spaten

"Lass Dir raten, trinke Spaten" is translated "Let me advise you to drink Spaten" and rightfully so; German beer pwns all. I found out recently that this is yet another beer that is owned by Inbev, no huge surprise. This brewery has changed hands quite a few times over the 600 years since it was established.

County Living

Went into the city to shoot for pleasure all day and on the way home shot this gem. There's a lot more to shoot in the city, and it definitely makes for better shooting, but every once in awhile you're in the right place at the right time out here.

Grandma Meade lives on

As you may or may not know, my Grandma Meade passed away April 16th, the same day my son was born. Recently my Mom came in town and brought a few sentimental items from my Grandma's house that she thought I'd like. One of those items came with a very interesting surprise.

Benton Park is a cool little historic neighborhood near downtown St. Louis. It's actually the first place I lived when I moved to St. Louis. I lived near Pestalozzi and McNair, close to Venice Cafe.

Jack Valentine Holst - The newest addition to the family!

Although I've been talking about him everywhere, this is the first official post dedicated to my new baby Jack. He was born on April 16th at 1:17PM. He weighed 8 pounds and 0.4 ounces and was 22 inches long.

Grandma (Frances) Meade February 26, 1926 - April 16th, 2008

I have to pay respect to my Grandma Frances Meade who passed away on April 16th 2008, the same day my son was born. I was not able to attend the funeral, my heart is broken. She was a beautiful lady and she will be missed.
