Iowa Stars
I was leafing through some photos from a few months back and found this long exposure shot I took on my last visit to Iowa. This was 694 seconds (roughly 11 minutes) at f/8 ISO 200.
The stars always seemed brighter in Iowa than in St. Louis but after moving out to O'Fallon (burbs) I quickly realized that it wasn't an Iowa/St. Louis thing it was a city/burb thing. I lived down by the brewery and as you may or may not know St. Louis is a pretty industrial city. So the smog does a pretty good job of hiding all of the stars.
Anyway I have a color version I posted too. Not sure which one I like better.
