Ping.fm is a simple service that makes updating your social networks a snap. Wow that's the understatement of 2008. Basically it's like this, no matter where you are right now, look around... I bet you can find 10 different ways to update your social networks right this very second. Ping.fm makes that possible. Use AIM, GTalk, iGoogle, WAP, iPhone/iPod Touch, SMS, MSN, E-mail, FF Plugin, IRC, the ping.fm dashboard (or any of the many developers writing air apps and widgets) and let Ping.fm relay your message to a multitude of social networking sites. You send a single update and specify where you want that update to go, ping.fm does the heavy lifting!

STLBloggers is a place for, well, St. Louis Bloggers. I found a lot of really good blogs on this site and the best thing yet? They're from the St. Louis area! It's good to network with like-geographic people. If you're from St. Louis and you're not a member go over and create an account. It's by far the most witty group of bloggers around!

I really don't even know where to start with this one. Ben Nadel is the king of kinky, solutions that is. This guy is a Coldfusion genius, plain and simple. He answers questions from his readers on difficult Coldfusion problems. What's more, he makes it look easy!! Check out his recent blog entries or search his site and I will put money on you finding a solution to your Coldfusion woe. Many of Ben's scripts were used to build my MoPhoBlog. Love this guy!

2 wicked sites in one day? Lighting essentials is a great website for those wanting to learn the tricks of the trade as far as lighting is concerned. Here's a quote from their about: "We believe that lighting is the key. It is the basis for great photography. Learning to see light and create light is a joy, and photography is the medium of light."

I love discovering new DIY photography sites. Today I stumbled on a new one from the blog at Makezine. It's called DIYPhotography.net and it will get the DIY juices flowing in no time. I saw a few really neat projects there including a DIY sandbag to secure your light stands and tripods while shooting outdoors. I also saw a pretty neat on camera softbox (something I've been wanting to try out). Really nice site with a lot of really good tutorials.

My wife Sarah picked up a camera one day and the next day was literally shooting like a pro. She's a true testimony to the fact that all you really need is a good eye. The technical side of handling the camera and its settings comes second. Sarah is doing "One-A-Day" where for the year 2008 she's posting a photo every day.

Darlene is the kind of person you would just want to be around (although I never have, just fyi). She strikes me as more than just a photographer but an artist, a poet, and creative at whatever else she puts her hand to. Although she's switched her branding to be mostly flickr, she can also be found on her personal site djkreutzer.com.

Photoflavor is the photoblog of Zac Doob. Zac has it nailed down in so many areas, most impressive (to me) are his collection of bird photos. Checking those out always leaves me dripping with envy. I've been following photoflavor.com for quite some time and am really, truly inspired by his solid work.

Faisal Sultan AKA Frisky is the stuff, plain and simple. I've been following his photoblog since I started shooting. I get a lot of inspiration from his work, which I describe as clean grunge. His work always has strong clean lines with a fresh feel but his subjects are often urban which gives off a really nice vibe.
