Must Read Book: Green Greener Greenest

I picked up an excellent book a few days ago. It's titled "Green, Greener, Greenest" by Lori Bongiorno. It's a practical guide to making eco-smart choices a part of your life. Lori worked for BusinessWeek and has written for The Green Guide (among other magazines) so her writing style is spot-on.

The thing I like most about this book, it covers green living from a very practical standpoint. Not everyone can run out and drop 10k on a solar power system (wiki). We can't all sell our cars and install greywater (wiki) systems to water our flowers. But we can make a commitment on some level, even if it's small. Enter Green Greener Greenest.

She approaches each topic with great amount of research. You almost get the feeling that, in a way, she's holding some of it back for fear of losing the punch on the point at hand. Each topic ends with a solution for readers of all commitment levels. Whether you're just starting (kinda like me) or a veteran, the action items are broken down into three easy to digest categories: Green, Greener or Greenest (hence the title, captain obvious here).

Here are the topics she covers in her book.

I highly recommend this book, a measly $10 on amazon: Green Greener Greenest

PS: Notice the green background? Thats the geek in me. Every post related to "going green" on my site will have a green background. *pat on back
