You have to look closely but it's there. The St. Louis Arch is awesome, it never gets old for me. Today Sarah, Jack and myself went down to the Arch grounds to do some shooting.

Went into the city to shoot for pleasure all day and on the way home shot this gem. There's a lot more to shoot in the city, and it definitely makes for better shooting, but every once in awhile you're in the right place at the right time out here.

Continuing on my caps series, since I'm lagging behind so much, I thought I'd pick one of the rarest beers in the world: Samichlaus, which I had the chance to drink a year or two ago.

Update on Jack

Update on Jack

Jack, my son, is growing up fast. He's making noises, he drools, his poop even smells like poop now. He's teething, is trying to walk and is hard to hold because he's always grabbing at something.

Last weekend we took a trip to Delmar to visit Uncle James and Aunt Diana at Blueberry Hill in the Loop. We had a great time, in fact we're making a commitment to take him out more. We sit around too much!

My Adenium has been struggling for a few years now. He's really been enjoying his new spot on the deck and is now even flowering! Bought this quite a few years back at the Cactus & Succulent show at the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis.

These cute little furry friends almost met the wrath of my lawn mower today. Good thing I weed whacked first, which I never do, because I wouldn't have spotted them otherwise. Check out the other pics and you will tell how small they really are!

One of my good buddy's son had a T-ball game the other day so we went out to take a few shots and root him on. For such a young dude he sure had a good cut and an overall awareness. Might be a future Card here!

As you may or may not know, my Grandma Meade passed away April 16th, the same day my son was born. Recently my Mom came in town and brought a few sentimental items from my Grandma's house that she thought I'd like. One of those items came with a very interesting surprise.

I've been collecting photos of entrances for quite awhile so I thought I'd unleash a few now. These were taken in South City St. Louis. A plate full of toasted ravioli for the first person who can name the street.

This is a photo of a little birdie that wasn't too keen on reading and obeying the message plastered to the rung of this ladder. I took this photo and posted it so it may be a lesson to the wild, careless and/or disobedient.

Well, today Jack downgraded from gremlin to bean pod, his original status. It's been a rough couple of days where nothing seemed to put him at ease for longer than a half hour.

Benton Park is a cool little historic neighborhood near downtown St. Louis. It's actually the first place I lived when I moved to St. Louis. I lived near Pestalozzi and McNair, close to Venice Cafe.

Taken on the end of my driveway during some very colorful spring skies. I love spring; the flowers, the storms, everything. I'd be a storm chaser if I had some patience.

I was moving some old photos around and this one just sort of struck me funny so I'm posting it up here. The cool thing about having a partner that shoots is you get to go out on shooting expeditions. This one happened in Carondelet Park in St. Louis

I have to pay respect to my Grandma Frances Meade who passed away on April 16th 2008, the same day my son was born. I was not able to attend the funeral, my heart is broken. She was a beautiful lady and she will be missed.

Well it's time for my official spring is here post but I fear that by doing so I may experience more raining slush like I did yesterday. Hinging on what I hear and read online has lead me to go ahead and do it, it's supposed to get nice this week.

Time for another Caps entry. This time I'm keeping it local with my favorite brewery of all time: Schlafly. This No. 15 brew is the tool I use to get people in the door and it even got Sarah to start trying (and now liking) beer.

Ok so I'm late to the punch on everything around here. But I am pulling through with some belly pics. I even took my dumb hat off and did my hair to get in one of these photos. Baby is due this friday! (more photos below)

The rain has been insane lately. A few days ago I had a little river in my back yard. Good news though, spring is here. Now I can start going outside again. This shot was taken in Chesterfield Valley on my way to Trader Joe's.

Asian Store: Shooting from the hip

I like "shooting from the hip". You simply leave the camera around your shoulder and snap spap. It's a good way to shoot in places where you may be asked to leave if caught taking photographs. This is our favorite asian store in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Nam Hai Oriental Food Market.
